My name is Lauren Slome, and I'm passionate about producing. I'm excited to get to know you, but odds are, you're here to learn about me. So here's three things you need to know:

1) My work ethic is off the charts, and it produces results.

I've spent the past 20 months powering through newscasts, taking point on special projects and and leading wall-to-wall breaking news coverage at Raleigh's legacy station, WRAL. Before that, I spent three years at the market-leading WBIR in Knoxville. There I grew the evening audience as I regularly produced an hour-long 5 o'clock newscast, right on the heels of launching the 6:30 newscast.

2) I love special projects.

Over the past few years, I've produced specials and taken point on a musical telethon in the wake of George Floyd's death. I dug through investigations and team coverage to create long-form digital content marking one year since the Gatlinburg wildfire. I oversaw a year's worth of election coverage, from primaries to the final tally. And I brought fresh perspective to it all. Give me the chance, and I will make your news product impossible to ignore.

3) I'm here to shake things up.

I don't want to do things just because it's how we've always done them. Intro, package, tag? Next. I think it's time to think differently in TV news, and I'm not shy about it. I'm here to challenge newsroom norms and to take risks, while working tirelessly to make sure you see the reward.

Let me show you what I can do. You won't be disappointed.
